Guidance document Incorporating Urban Heat Objectives into Planning Policy This document has been prepared to assist council officers to integrate urban heat provisions into Local Strategic Planning Statements and Local Environmental Plans as part of the recent State government planning reforms to support A Metropolis of Three Cities – the Greater Sydney Region Plan and District Plans. The guidance document was developed through a partnership of WSROC and NSROC councils. |

The initiative is guided by the Turn Down the Heat Strategy (launched in December 2018). Developed with the input of 55 different organisations, the Strategy lays out a five-year plan for a cooler, more liveable and resilient future. |
