Between 2015 - 2017, Western Sydney councils, in partnership with the NSW EPA, offered a series of collection events to safely remove detached asbestos fibro sheeting from residential homes (WSRADS).

The WSRADS program successfully and safely removed over 130 tonnes of asbestos sheeting from Western Sydney households.

Participating councils included: Blacktown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, The Hills, Holroyd, Liverpool, Parramatta and Penrith.

This project was a NSW EPA Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded from the waste levy.
