Up to $25,000 can be applied for in an initial planning, consultation and engagement phase. The funding can be used for internal planning and consultation with the local Aboriginal community and cultural competency training within the council to support this engagement.

One of the outputs must be a project plan/s that can be submitted as part of the implementation application. The council may, however, decide that they will not proceed with an implementation application.
