In the lead up to International Women’s Day, the Australian Local Government Women’s Association has opened registration for its major conferences, both of which are to be held in Western Sydney.

2019 National ALGA Women’s Association Conference - Blacktown

Registrations are open for the 2019 National Australian Local Government Women's Association (ALWGA) Conference.

Blacktown City Council together with ALGWA are proud to present a range of engaging speakers and unique social events.

The conference theme 'Celebrating 100 Years of Women' will focus on how far women in local government have come in the last 100 years.

15 - 17 May, 2019 at West HQ, Rooty Hill.

2019 Women’s Association NSW Branch Annual Conference - Liverpool

Liverpool City Council is proud to be the host city for the 2019 Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW Branch Annual Conference.

The Australian Local Government Women’s Association NSW Branch (ALGWA) supports and promotes women in local government through advocacy, advice and action.

This year will feature an incredible program of events and activities including keynote speaker, Jessica Rowe, supported by a line-up of inspiring women, including Avril Henry, Janelle Nisbet and Leonie McKeon, who will equip you with the skills to make your mark on both your professional and personal lives.

The conference will be hosted over three days at Liverpool’s premier arts and cultural institution, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. Women and men working or interested in local government can look forward to engaging speakers, workshops, social events, wellness activities and networking dinners that will encourage and inspire you to make your mark, not only on the industry, but all aspects of your life.
