Celebrating women in local government

Know a woman doing outstanding work in your local area?

Someone who shows innovation, provides inspiration to co-workers, or supports other women looking establishing a career in local government?

The Office of Local Government is now calling for nominations for the Minister’s Awards for Women in Local Government.

President of the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) Cllr Tony Hadchiti said “There are countless women in Western Sydney who do outstanding work in their LGA, so I am calling on all WSROC councils to nominate worthy candidates and ensure WSROC is well represented.”

Award categories include: Elected representatives, senior staff member, non-senior staff member and women working in non-traditional roles.
